Montauk Hotel make their return to Whelan's following a successful 2018.
Montauk Hotel are Claudia, Shell, Aoife and Karima from Dublin, Ireland. Taking influence from the glimmer of early 80s indie-pop, Montauk Hotel fuse strong melodies, glistening guitars and punchy beats to create their own shimmering sound.
Montauk Hotel have made an impressive impact on the Dublin live music scene since 2016 with headline shows including Whelans, The Workman's Club, The Sound House, The Bowery, Bello Bar and Roisin Dubh, as well as supporting international acts such as Goat Girl, PINS and Beauty Sleep. They have appeared at festivals such as Electric Picnic, Other Voices, Groove Festival, Vantastival and Sunflower Festival.
The band released their self-titled E.P. in March 2017 with a sold out show in Whelans. Their single ‘Hands' was released in March 2018 to critical acclaim. Their latest single, ‘Stains' was released in October 2018 with a headline show at The Workman's Club. The single received a fantastic response from RTE, 2fm, 98FM, The Thin Air and The Last Mixed Tape.

"Nicely straddling the line between indie jangle and straight-up pop" - The Thin Air
